首先应该确定好被修饰的词，英语里的定语从句，应该跟在被它修饰的词(即先行词)的后面，除非是非限制性定语从句。
换句话说，定语从句和先行词之间，不可以有其他句子成份，除了定语。这句话里说的除了定语的.意思是指：一个名词，它除了一个定语从句之外，还可以有其他的短语作宾语，这些作定语的短语，应该放在定语从句的前面，因为比较长的句子成份在句子中的位置就靠后。比如说：He is the only one of the students who has passed the exam. 他是这帮学生中唯一通过考试的。这个句子中，who引导的定语从句跟先行词one被of the students分开了，而of the students也是one的定语。
将两个句子中相同的名词其中一个去掉,将整句挪到那个完整句子的后面,再在中间添上先行词（关系代词、关系副词）即可
举例：
young lady act very talked about her just now.
laughed at the girl girl's hair was yellow.
films was quite saw it last night.
合并：
young lady who we talked about just now acts very well.
laughed at the girl whose hair was yellow.
film which(that) we saw last night was quite moving.
